I always love your guides! I fell in love with Nigel Slater when I got Tender and everything he writes makes my heart happy (maybe a bit hyperbolic, but I do love the man). The Christmas Chronicles is on my list.
What great gift guide. It’s personal and super specific, which is what I really want from a gift guide these days. Thank you for sharing.
I would like to second Dining In as my new favorite cookbook. I just want to crawl inside and live there. The food, styling, and writing are all just pitch perfect.
the wallet is so beautiful. can it only be ordered from Japan? how long did it take to get yours? I will look around the site more. so much of it is in Japanese LOL
What a fun list! I only recently discovered your blog (I know, where the hell have I been?!) I got “Dining In” as soon as it was published and I’m so in love with it! The Fennel-Rubbed Pork Chop for Two is so flavorful, and I adored what was supposed to be the Persimmons and Pear Salad with Blue Cheese and Spicy Pecans, but I couldn’t find persimmons so I subbed apples. Still delicious – make extra pecans for snacking, they are divine. The Roasted and Raw Kale Salad – oh wow. I can’t wait to try more from that one. :)
polite suggestion that you publish a book recommendation list sometime. i read the luminaries on your suggestion and loved it. will be buying lincoln in the bardo as a gift for someone who will let me borrow it after :)

This guide is the only thing I love about capitalism. And: brining almonds!

I love the picture of the Amaro. It looks like the hands in the background are reaching for the bottle.
